RJT FITTINGS

RJT (Ring Joint Type) fittings are a type of hygienic stainless steel pipe coupling widely used in the UK for industries that require stringent cleanliness standards, such as food processing, brewing, and pharmaceuticals.

Key Information

Standard: RJT fittings are manufactured to the British Standard BS 4825 Part 5.
Material: Wetted parts are typically made from grade 316 or 316L stainless steel, while the hexagon nut is made from 304 stainless steel. This provides excellent corrosion resistance and durability.
Components: A complete RJT union consists of four main parts: a hexagon nut, a male part, a liner (either pressed or machined), and an O-ring seal.
Seal Materials: The O-ring seals are available in various materials to suit different applications, including Nitrile (standard), EPDM, Silicone, FKM/Viton®, and PTFE.
Size Range: They are generally available in imperial tube sizes ranging from 1 inch to 6 inches.
