An RJT blank disc is a circular stainless steel component used to seal off the end of a process line within an RJT union. When secured by an RJT nut, it prevents the ingress of contaminants and stops fluid flow.
Function and Material
Function: The blank is inserted into the male part of the union, and the nut is tightened to compress the O-ring seal against it. This creates a secure, hygienic, and leak-proof closure for an unused port or pipe section during maintenance, cleaning-in-place (CIP) operations, or system downtime.
Material: The "wetted" part (the blank disc itself) is made from high-quality Grade 316 or 316L stainless steel for excellent corrosion resistance.
