Taper Pins


Taper pins are often used to position and secure mechanical components.

They are held in place using friction making them economical and easy to install.

The pin’s tapered design increases in diameter from one end to the other allowing for accurate, secure installation to tapered holes.

Imperial taper pins have a taper on diameter of 1:48 while metric ones have a taper of 1:50

Metric taper pins are measured by the diameter on the small end but imperial sizes are measured by the large end.

Our standard range of plain taper pins is manufactured to DIN 1B, and we also have extractable taper pins to DIN 7978 available to special order.
