RESIN CAPSULE

Resin anchor capsules are high-performance, pre-portioned glass or foil tubes used to permanently bond threaded steel studs or rebar starter bars into concrete.

They contain an exact dosage of base chemical resin (usually epoxy acrylate, quartz aggregate, and a separated catalyst/hardener inside.

Unlike cartridge-based injection guns, capsules completely eliminate chemical product waste, do not require manual mixing, and are optimized for single-point setups or overhead applications.

Spin-In Glass Capsules: The capsule is placed inside the hole, and a chisel-tipped anchor stud is physically spun into it using a rotary hammer drill. The spinning action pulverizes the glass vial, which seamlessly integrates into the chemical mix as a structural aggregate to further roughen the hole and boost structural pull-out resistance.

Step-by-Step Installation Rules

Achieving full rated tensile load capacities depends entirely on following rigorous installation methods:

  1. Drill the Hole: Bore to the precise diameter and depth specified on the packaging.
  2. Clean the Hole (Critical Step): Use a blow pump followed by a wire brush up to three times. Leftover masonry dust forms an insulating barrier that ruins the chemical bond.
  3. Insert Capsule: Drop the vial into the cleared shaft with the internal air bubble oriented closest to the surface.
  4. Drive the Stud: Attach a setting adapter to your hammer drill. Engage rotary hammer mode and spin the stud all the way to the bottom of the hole to blend the resin and hardener. Stop immediately once the bottom is reached to avoid over-spinning.
  5. Observe Curing Time: Let the chemical rest completely untouched while it hardens.
