Graphite PSM-AS Full Face Gaskets
Rigid, Blow-Out Resistant Sealing for Ultimate Joint Alignment
When an application demands the extreme thermal resistance of pure graphite paired with a full-coverage profile, our KLINGER® Graphite PSM-AS full face gaskets provide the ultimate solution.
Standard, unreinforced graphite is notoriously fragile and difficult to handle; however, by using genuine KLINGER Graphite PSM-AS sheets, the internal tanged stainless steel 316 reinforcement dramatically increases the material's rigidity and handling properties.
This Full Face profile extends all the way to the outer diameter of the flange and features precision-punched bolt holes. It ensures perfect centring during assembly and spreads the bolt load evenly, preventing flange distortion while offering unmatched blow-out safety.
Key Feature Breakdown:
- Enhanced Handling & Durability: The internal tanged metal matrix prevents the graphite from tearing or cracking during transport and installation--a major advantage for large-diameter full face configurations.
- Full Face Security: Features pre-punched bolt holes that align perfectly with the flange. The passing bolts anchor the gasket firmly in place, keeping it centred even under intense structural system vibrations.
- Glue-Free Structural Integrity: Free from adhesives, chemical binders, or fillers. The physical properties remain perfectly stable across the entire temperature spectrum without outgassing or losing torque retention.
- Flange Protection & Anti-Stick: Coated with the signature 3xA anti-stick finish, keeping the graphite intact on the gasket body and shielding the entire face of the flange from corrosive environments.
Ideal Applications:
- Large diameter pipelines and heat exchangers where standard ring gaskets risk slipping or misaligning.
- Chemical processing loops requiring long-term torque retention and broad chemical compatibility.
- Flat-face piping setups where even load distribution is necessary to avoid localized mechanical stress on heavy equipment casings.
