A female-female union is a type of pipe fitting designed to join a pipe with external (male) threads, while also allowing for easy disconnection and reassembly of the pipeline system without rotating the entire pipe run.

They are crucial for systems requiring frequent maintenance or modifications. 

Key Features

A female-female union fitting is composed of three parts:

  • Two Female ends with internal threads designed to receive the male end.
  • A central nut that draws the male and female ends together to create a secure seal, often using a conical seat or a gasket (like a PTFE washer). 

This design allows for a secure, detachable, and reusable mechanical joint.

  • Pressure Rating: 3000lb (3000 psi or 206 bar).
  • Material: Forged carbon steel (ASTM A105N)
  • Connection: Female conical seat union design for a secure, self-sealing connection.
